Elwha RV Park Guest Policies Our vision is to be a quiet, drama free park, where everyone is considerate of others. Each person in this park helps to make it what it is.We are not a permanent resident park, but we can offer limited camping agreements where one can lengthen their stay on a month-to-month basis for a time depending on seasonal availability. GENERAL POLICIES & LIABILITY SAFETY FIRST! In the Event of An Emergency Dial 911! Then, call us at 360-452-7054. Speed Limit: 5 MPH! Please watch for children! The Use of Fireworks, Firearms, & Bows and Arrows, are Prohibited! Only hand-held sparklers are permitted under adult supervision. Ponds: Although they, at times, may be tempting, ponds are strictly off-limits for wading or swimming. Please Do Not Feed Wildlife: Help us keep wildlife wild and healthy. Extra Quiet Hours: 9:00pm to 9:00am. However, excessive noise, loud music, smells, etc. should not spill into other people’s spaces at any time of the day. In the event of discourteous campers, please call us, and let us address the issue. Chances are, if they are disturbing you, they are disturbing others also. Thank you! Wi-Fi: Basic email and browsing only! Large downloading or streaming movies, radio, or music can slow down the internet for the whole park. Hotspots can supplement larger usage. Pet-Friendly Campground: We love animals, but to keep it working we need the following requirements: No aggressive pets or excessive barking pets allowed. Pets must be leashed 100% of the time (6’ or less), cleaned up after 100% of the time, attended to 100% of the time, and barking is to be minimized especially at quiet times. Do not leave unattended or tether pets to picnic tables, posts, fences, etc. Pets should stay outside of campground buildings (including bathhouses and community center). Dogs and cats must be registered with management, be licensed, and wear identification tags at all times. Pet owners are subject to a $50 fine or immediate eviction for failure to pick up after their pet’s waste in a timely manner. Laundry: Be courteous. Please be available to remove your items from washer and dryer in a prompt manner. Any clothes left more than 5 minutes may be removed to accommodate other guests. Use non-scented products and avoid liquid softeners and powered soap as they can damage our septic system. Mail: We are not a permanent resident park, and our address cannot be used as such. We suggest acquiring a post office box to receive general mail. If you need to establish residency, get a driver’s license, etc., most people get the following: a mailing service that has a street address, or a friend or relative’s house address. We are not responsible for lost mail or packages. Club House: The club house is an area available to guests or small groups to reserve. When not reserved, it is open for laundry, occasional reading, television use, etc. We do ask that guests are careful not to monopolize the room, TV, or facilities in a living room type manner. Please consult with a park manager before using appliances other than laundry. Restrooms, Store, & Other Buildings: By state law, smoking is not permitted in any building. Please discard cigarette butts in appropriate receptacles. If a restroom is found in poor condition and needs attention, please report it to the office immediately. Thank you for helping us maintain a clean facility! Garbage & Recycling Disposal: Please place your bagged garbage or recycling in the dumpster behind the office or the dumpster at the middle of the park (seasonal) daily. All garbage bags must be sealed tightly. Please do not throw furniture or bulk items in dumpsters. Dispose of recycling in appropriate bins (e.g., glass with glass). Do not leave trash or recycling on the ground. Thank you! Conduct: Guests and their visitors are expected to behave in a manner consistent with a family atmosphere. Littering, stone throwing, defacing trees, picnic tables, road signs, or any other campground or camper’s property, and destructive or dangerous behaviors are strictly prohibited. If you are a smoker or vaper of any kind, we ask that smoking is done so that other guests are not affected. Parental Supervision: Minors (16 years old and under) must have constant supervision by a parent or adult guardian. Bikes, scooters, and skates are not permitted on park roads for safety reasons. There are trails both in the campground and below the campground entrance for this purpose. Alcohol: Public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, and use of drugs are not permitted. Any of these behaviors will result in removal from the campground without a refund! RV Condition & Appearance: RVs may be a maximum of ten years old, must have current licensing and tabs, and be in working condition to be driven (trailers/5th wheels to be towed) out of their site at any time. Management may make exceptions for the age of RV for refurbished vintage editions or those in qualifying good condition. RV's must be actively maintained and kept in good condition during their stay: clean, in working condition, current licensing and tabs, no ripped awnings, no broken or patched windows, or other visible damage, etc. No tarps allowed. Installment of permanent fixtures, such as skirts, decks, or additions on RV sites are prohibited. If you are here during a cold spell, a temporary snap-on skirt may be allowed with manager approval. No Permanent Site Assignment: Specific site placement may be requested but is not guaranteed. If you are assigned a site, there may come a time for maintenance or other purposes that Elwha RV Park reserves the right to reassign you to another site. Vehicles: One vehicle per site (unless permitted for more). Park parallel to the RV out of main roads. Vehicles must be licensed, drivable, and in good working condition at all times. Boat parking is additional and requires manager approval. Please do not park vehicles in the grass. Site guidelines: 1. Sites should be orderly and clean at ALL times. a. Long term mats on grass kill the grass. Please either refrain from mats or pull off grass and move weekly to keep grass from suffocating. b. Personal items must be inside the RV or in a sealed storage container under the RV out of sight. c. Please refrain from BBQ grills on our picnic tables or relocating fire rings. d. Patio items are to be uniform, matching, and in good condition. e. No tarps allowed. f. Garbage cans must be sealed and kept out of sight. g. Keep lawn care current and mats off the grass. h. Any outdoor items or improvements (e.g., canopies, tree trimming, landscaping, potted plants) must have approval. i. Installment of permanent fixtures, such as skirts, decks, or additions on RV sites are prohibited. j. Please don’t undertake extensive RV renovations, car repair, or building projects during your stay. k. Site reviews with management will be scheduled every 6 months. l. Every year we have a spring clean-up. RVs are washed and sites cleaned and realigned with site policies. 2. Sites must be occupied by the registered guest and not left vacant for any extended period of more than a week within a one-month period. The office should be notified in case of any unattended periods. Site Maintenance: We are responsible for all utilities up to the utility outlets. Anything thereafter is the guest’s responsibility. We have a support person on property for RV issues for hire (see the office for contact information). Any damage done to property through negligence or by intent is the guest’s responsibility to repair. Sewer/Septic System: Please refrain from flushing rags, baby wipes, plastic, ashes, cat litter, clothes, diapers, or other improper articles. These clog the septic system. Do not leave water running to prevent freezing pipes. Please Conserve Water & Electricity: Except for our one-time spring cleaning, announced in April, washing RVs and vehicles is prohibited. Please join our effort to conserve water & electricity by shutting off all lights before retiring for the night. Small kiddie pools are not allowed. Firewood: No wood piles on the ground in sites. They attract mice, ant nests, termites, etc. Firewood must be purchased from us or an approved wood company. Tree-killing insects and diseases can live in firewood and spread to other wood and trees. Untreated firewood is one of the main ways invasive pests and plant diseases spread to new areas. Guests/Visitors: Since we are not a permanent resident park, any visitors are asked to check in at the office. This is for reasons of security monitoring and parking coordination. Any guests over one person may be subject to a day use fee. Please check with the office for overnight guests. Fees apply and stays are limited to a maximum of 72 hours within a calendar month. We have a ‘no add-on’ policy for our current monthly guests. We cannot piggie-back new extended stay guests onto existing bookings. New guests must go through their own application process which is subject to manager approval. Subject to Change: All policies in this document are subject to change and to take immediate effect without notice.
